Warrington Voluntary Action. Engaging People. Empowering Communities.


Local groups and organisations are encouraged to become members of Warrington Voluntary Action (WVA) to ensure that we are led by the needs of the people that we support and represent.

Membership is free.  You can apply to be a Member if you are a community, voluntary or faith organisation, social enterprise or any other form of not-for-profit organisation actively delivering services within the borough of Warrington at the point of joining.

Membership means:

  • You will receive weekly alerts providing information about events and funding opportunities
  • We will share your training, jobs, updates and opportunities through our weekly alerts
  • We will publicise your group and activities through our Social Media
  • You can promote your volunteering opportunities on our website
  • We can help you with funding bids, development and campaigns
  • You can attend our excellent training courses aimed at helping you or your group develop
  • You will receive priority booking on training courses and other events
  • You can complete our organisation Healthcheck in order to identify where specialist/bespoke support could help your group
  • You will receive discounts on a selection of WVA services
  • You will have access to networks and forums that support the voluntary sector
  • You will have a say in how Warrington Voluntary Action is run, and suggest the content of members meetings
  • You can nominate individuals to stand as Trustees
  • You can vote at the Annual General Meeting and Extraordinary General Meetings
  • Your role in the community will be acknowledged and your voice WILL be heard
  • You will receive a membership certificate

If you are an individual, an organisation from outside of Warrington, a statutory organisation or represent a business and have an interest or stake in the voluntary sector you can register as a Friend of WVA. This entitles you to receive our weekly e-alerts, access to a range of WVA services, access to networks and forums that support the voluntary sector.  Please note that Warrington organisations will receive priority booking for events and networks.
