E-Learning Volunteer Safeguarding

E-Learning Volunteer Safeguarding

This shortened version will give you an overview of safeguarding so as a volunteer you have an understanding of what it entails. If you are volunteering or in the process of learning about volunteering please note that this is only an overview. How organisations implement safeguarding can differ so you should speak to your volunteer manager who should have a safeguarding policy and procedure for reporting that may be bespoke to the support they provide.

This video covers...

  • Definitions of Safeguarding
  • Considering vulnerability
  • Difference between the effects on adults and children
  • Types of abuse and what to look for
  • Your personal perspective and responsibility
  • Reporting safeguarding concern

Video Length: 1:41:02

E-Learning (electronic learning) is training that takes place online, in this case, we've created a YouTube video and links to resources for you to reference. The great thing with e-learning is you can do it in your own time, as long as you're connected to the internet!
