Warrington Voluntary Action. Engaging People. Empowering Communities.

Families Together

WVA are working in partnership with Chester Voluntary Action to deliver a brand new volunteering sheme, encouraging more people to get involved in their local community by providing more opportunities for families.

The aim is to get more people engaging in active opportunities, such as sports or outdoor activities. This can be anything from a local rugby club, to gardening, maybe even helping out at a local petting zoo! Whatever it is, this is a great opportunity for more people to become active and involved in their local community, whilst spending time with their kids too!

There are two main objectives, the first is to work with local voluntary groups and charities to develop 'family-friendly' opportunities, the second is to engage with parents and families who have never volunteered before but would love to give it a go.

If you are a Warrington-based organisation that would like to involve families in your volunteering programme, or you would like to get your family volunteering, contact Stef Woof for more information: email stef@warringtonva.org.uk or call 01925 246880
