Assistant Beaver Leader for 19th Warrington Culcheth Methodist Scout Group

What would I be doing?

Support and play a part in active face-to-face contact with youth aged 6 – 8 (Core ages) to deliver a safe and fun programme for the children.
You will be in a team of adults of various ages and backgrounds. Your role will also include planning as well as delivery of a Balanced Programme, outlined by the Scout Association. Activities are both inside and outside which could include a night’s away experience for the children and adults with a view of providing them with skills for life.

What skills do I need?

To work in a small team, with enthusiasm, good communication skills to all age ranges, helping to provide fun practical activities safely in a very hands-on way with the children.

The Scout Association is a charity that was set up over 100 years ago by Baden Powell. He focused on developing children and that core theme still holds true today. We are the largest Youth Organisation preparing more young people with skills for life, supported by amazing leaders delivering an inspiring programme. The experiences we provide their development on the way to adulthood.

Recruitment and training details:

The Scout Association has an extensive adult training programme that includes some mandatory around 1st Aid, Safeguarding, and Safety which needs renewal every 3 years. DBS costs will be paid for by The Scouts Association
