What would I be doing?

This role involves leading a small team to provide guidance, create ideas and provide a positive Leadership experience and role model. Play a part in active face-to-face contact with youths aged 8 – 10 to deliver a safe and fun programme for the children. You will be based in a team of adults of various ages and backgrounds. Your role will also include planning as well as delivery of a Balanced Programme, outlined by the Scout Association. Activities will be both inside and outside which could include nights away.

What skills do I need?

To work in a small team, with enthusiasm, good communication skills to all age ranges, helping to provide fun practical activities safely in a positive hands-on way with the children.

The Scout Association is a charity that was set up over 100 years ago by Baden Powell. He focused on developing children and that core theme still holds true today. We are the largest Youth Organisation preparing more young people with skills for life, supported by amazing leaders delivering an inspiring programme. The experiences we provide their development on the way to adulthood.

Recruitment and training details:

The Scout Association has an extensive adult training programme that includes some mandatory around 1st Aid, Safeguarding and Safety which needs renewal every 3 years.
DBS costs will be paid for by the Scouts Association.
