Walk Leader for Good Neighbour Project

Role Type: Regular
Based: All of Warrington
Categories: Sport and recreation, Supporting people

What would I be doing?

Good Neighbours are looking for walk leaders to support short walks across Warrington that aim to bring people who are feeling lonely/socially isolated together.

Walk leaders are there to support the walk, making sure everyone is safe and happy. There will be two walk leaders per walk.
Most of our walks will be very short, less than 20 minutes. There will also be some time spent with the group afterwards in a community centre where refreshments will be provided.

What skills do I need?

You don't need any particular experience, but we would like our leaders to be friendly and welcoming, good communication skills, reliable, punctual and well organised. Be confident at speaking in front of small groups; able to take control and be assertive when needed and observant and sensitive to the needs of others.
