What would I be doing?

3rd Warrington (1st Culcheth) Scout group are currently looking for adults to join the leadership team for both Cub and Beaver Groups, to help support their weekly meetings.

Meetings are held weekly during school term with occasional weekend activities like visits and camps. Though coming to the meetings weekly is helpful, Scouting is flexible and you can work around your other commitments.

Cub scouts are enthusiastic girls and boys aged 8-10 ½ years. They are keen to try new things and have adventures. They enjoy a variety of activities such as knots, crafts, map reading, first aid, visits and camps. Along with collecting lots of badges! They are really looking forward to welcoming new Leaders to the group!

Beaver Scouts are lively boys and girls aged 6-8 years, looking for fun and adventure. This is created through a variety of crafts, games, and skills such as knots and first aid. Along with visits to places such as the fire station, local parks and sometimes even sleepovers.

There is a terrific sense of achievement for Leaders, seeing the members grow in confidence as they develop new skills, make new friends and grow in their independence. Add this to friendships, fun, adventures and the opportunity for you to gain a host of new skills.

About 3rd Warrington (1st Culcheth) Scout Group

3rd Warrington East (1st Culcheth) is a lively, enthusiastic Scout Group with its own premises, camping and climbing equipment. It offers a wide variety of activities to the young people, many with a badge to show their achievements as they acquire new skills

Recruitment and training details:

There is full training and uniform with this role.
The training will help with programme planning and keeping everyone safe. There will be lots of support available whilst you are a volunteer with Culcheth Scouts. All costs are paid for by the Scout Group.
