What would I be doing?

Become a Green Angel! An exciting new way to learn new skills, meet new people, and change your future prospects.

The Green Angels project aims to improve the quality of life for local communities through providing new training opportunities in the environmental field. Participants can join in courses in subjects such as hard landscaping skills; environmental education; horticulture and countryside management.

Through our Basic Survival Skills course you will learn:
How to Build a Shelter, Tying Different Knots, Cooking outdoors on an open fire & Much more!

About The Land Trust

Green Angels first started out in Liverpool, funded through the BIG Lottery “Reaching Communities” grant fund. The Green Angels programme aims to:
· Provide training in new skills, and volunteering opportunities, and inspire a sense of pride and achievement through tangible improvements to a local open space
· Promote healthy living though encouraging active involvement in outdoor pursuits
· Stimulate social cohesion by involving the local community in the management and care of a park
· Improve the local environment through habitat creation, creating oases for wildlife.

Recruitment and training details:

Green Angels training is free and will be open to everyone over the age of 18.
The courses will provide a basic introduction into the chosen subject will run for approximately 4-6 weeks, and will be based at Land Trust sites in Warrington.

Our courses tend to run between 10am – 3:30pm, varying from one day courses to four-six weeks – one day per week. Our volunteering sessions run between 10am – 1pm every month.
