Branch Fundraising Coordinator for Samaritans of Warrington, Halton and St Helens

What would I be doing?

We are looking to recruit a Fundraising Co-ordinator to work with the community and existing volunteers to plan and deliver a range of fundraising activities. Work with others to put together branch fundraising plan working towards achieving a set target for annual income is raised.

The Key responsibilities for the Fundraising Co-Ordinator include:

- Work with the treasurer and Branch Director to agree a fundraising target that covers or exceeds the branch operating costs and plan and report on income and associated expenditure
- Work with branch leadership and fundraising volunteers to plan a range of fundraising activities and estimate what each will contribute to the agreed fundraising target
- Recruit fundraising volunteers to support with fundraising activity and take on specific tasks
- Attend regional meetings and training related to fundraising as necessary
- Allocate tasks across members of the fundraising team to deliver planned fundraising activities
- Work with fundraising volunteers to investigate and apply for sources of funding from appropriate grant giving Trusts, statutory funders and local businesses, and ensure the applications made on behalf of the Branch provide accurate branch statistics and examples of how funds will be spent
- Work with the branch committee to maintain records and provide accurate progress reports to funders on projects they’re funding if/when required
- Liaise with other branches in the region for joint fundraising initiatives and share fundraising ideas
- Ensure all fundraising activities comply with Samaritan policies
- Maintain record of funds raised and expenditure for fundraising activities

What skills do I need?

Financial knowledge, organisational skills and an understanding of the Samaritans is key.

About Samaritans of Warrington, Halton and St Helens

Our branch has been providing support to people in our local area and beyond for many years. Until March 2017 we were on Arpley Street - in the heart of Warrington town centre. We have now moved 200 meters up the road to Bank Quay House. We offer emotional support in person, by telephone, by email and by text and on average each year we help over 26,000 people going through a tough time.
