What would I be doing?

Becoming a Volunteer Buddy, on the BUDDY UP programme.
You will be matched with a young person and help to increase their confidence, build independence, boost self-esteem and enhance their social skills.

Undertaking this fantastic opportunity will also provide you with a fantastic skill set, build resilience and gain valuable experience. This programme is great for experience to put on your UCAS applications!

If you have a few hours to spare each week to buddy up with a Young person, encourage, engage and have fun by to taking part in Film nights, Gym sessions, Group trips, and mentoring positive Life skills.

What skills do I need?

Being friendly and approachable are the main skills needed for the Buddy-Up programme. Full training is provided to enhance your existing skills.

About Warrington Youth Club

Buddy-Up is a befriending project which supports children and young people with disabilities; who are at risk of becoming socially isolated.

Recruitment and training details:

Full training is provided, following this we only ask that you volunteer for one hour per week, on an evening of your choice.

Project Coordinator is called Nuvvy, who will contact you and provide more information once he has received your enquiry to volunteer.
