What would I be doing?

It's that time of year again when you can sign up to become a volunteer for Home-Start Warrington.

If you are a parent or have been a parent, support a family with young children, and/or help with our School readiness programme? Then you could be a Home Visit volunteer with us!

Home-Start Warrington is a local Family Support Charity. One of our key aims is to give children the best start in life.
As a parent, do you have the passion and knowledge to help us with our school readiness programme?

And if you wish, there is another option to take part in the Home-Start Big Hopes Big Futures training, which is all about supporting children to be ready for school. This will also involve 2 face to face meetings with staff.

What skills do I need?

Experience of being a parent. Listening ear. Empathy. Understanding, Non-judgemental. Confidential. Keep to professional boundaries and have good communication and literacy skills.

Training will be completed online, so you will need an internet connection. Date to be confirmed.

You will also need to complete an Application Form and consent to us applying for a DBS (CRB) for you.
