Registration is closed for this event
Tuesday 31st January 2017, 17:30 - 21:00 at the Gateway, 85-101 Sankey Street, Warrington.

The new Active Warrington strategy  aims to ensure that as many people in the borough as possible are able to be more active, more often and reap the benefits that physical activity brings for themselves, their families and their communities.

This free event will:

  • Provide some practical information about upcoming funding opportunities and the support available locally to help you or your club/group to access them
  • Provide information about the new Active Warrington approach, including a focus on supporting inactive people to become more active
  • Offer you plenty of opportunity to share your views, knowledge and input in terms of your ideas of the best way to get your local community involved

A hot and cold buffet will be provided.

Most people know that being active is “good” for you, but how many of us realise that moving around just a little bit more, can:

  • Improve our health and reduce our risk of getting ill
  • Reduce stress, improve sleep and increase our sense of wellbeing
  • Help our concentration and increase productivity and achievement at work or in our studies
  • Give us more energy to do the things we enjoy
  • Improve children’s school days, academic achievement and enjoyment of holidays
  • And much more!

This free event is open to everyone, not just those currently working in the sports sector, and is your opportunity to find out more, contribute your views, knowledge and experience, and (if you want to) to step up and get involved in making Warrington a more active place.

An agenda will follow shortly, but for now you are invited to put the date in your calendars and register your place!
