Priority Tool

Below is a tool that you can draw out of a piece of paper and can use it as an individual or as a team to help to inform your planning.  It helps get everything down in one place and then decide which are things that can be shelved, which things you need to plan for, which need to be acted on immediately etc.

Visually it really helps you to understand where changes need to be made e.g. if you have loads of tasks in your ‘Important and Urgent’ box then it's likely things feel overwhelming and unmanageable.  If some of those things can be moved to other areas so that they can be planned for or even discarded then that will help  (post-it notes are good as you can move them around).  It’s also good as a personal tool too for helping with workload.
