The workshop will help voluntary and community groups to understand the commissioning processes in Warrington, who the key commissioners are, help you decide if contracting for services is for you and the next steps you should take.

Free workshop for Warrington groups: Introduction to Commissioning, 25 Jan 2018 10am to 12pm at the Gateway

WVA will be holding a free Introduction to Commissioning workshop in partnership with Warrington Borough Council.  The workshop will help voluntary and community groups to understand the commissioning processes in Warrington, who the key commissioners are, help you decide if contracting for services is for you and the next steps you should take.

This workshop will help you to:

  • Understand the commissioning process (including the commissioning cycle)
  • Clarify jargon around commissioning
  • Understand the pros and cons relating to commissioning
  • Know if contracts are right for your organisation and what you want to deliver
  • Registering with the Chest including the opportunity for a practical one to one demonstration
  • Top tips
  • Access to information, guidance and support.

It is suitable for any third sector organisation new to, or looking to consider, funding through commissioning opportunities as a way of supporting their work; and for staff or trustees who are new to commissioning.
