Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner's Community Action Fund

The Police and Crime Commissioner is committed to investing money into local projects which prevent crime and anti-social behaviour under his Community Action Fund.

Up to £5,000 is available for new projects or initiatives which will deliver community safety or crime prevention activities.

The Commissioner makes decisions on where the fund can be used most effectively to address community needs, whilst supporting the aims within the Police and Crime Plan and Cheshire Constabulary’s budget priorities for each financial year.

Applications are welcomed from community, voluntary or third-sector organisations including Parish Councils and must be submitted to the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner directly by members of the community.

Projects must be located within Cheshire and must focus on local needs. They must also be match-funded.

All projects must engage with the local policing team. In most cases, this will be your local dedicated PCSO. The named individual will need to be aware of the project and will be able to endorse that the information within your application addresses local needs.

The Community Action Fund will be open for applications in 2023 during the following dates:

  • 1 April - 30 June
  • 1 September - 30 November

Completed applications should be sent to pcc@cheshire.police.uk FAO Commissioning Officer.
